Rutgers Adds No. 9 to 2011 class

Rutgers picked up a big commitment Tuesday when a national prospect made a non-binding oral commitment. Go inside to learn who committed as the Scarlet Knights get near the close of their three-day camp in Piscataway, N.J.

A day after Cocoa (Fla.) High athlete Chevelle Buie said how much he loved Rutgers and was getting a strong vibe from his visit during the camp, the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder gave a non-binding oral commitment to coach Greg Schiano.

Buie made the decision a day after injuring his hamstring in camp, but also after getting an opportunity to check out the campus, get to know the coaching staff better and also get a feel for the school.

Buie has 15 to 20 offers, but said he was enjoying his visit.

In fact, he told he "could see myself playing here. I could see myself with the coaches making me a better person in life."

Buie plays running back at Cocoa High, but was being recruited to play slot receiver at Rutgers.
