While most of the stars attended last week's Rutgers camp on Monday and Tuesday, Fort Hamilton High (Brooklyn, N.Y.) receiver Brandon Reddish snuck just before the close of camp and showcased his skills last Wednesday morning.

The 5-foot-11, 182-pound Reddish, who was offered by Rutgers in January, took part in one-on-one drills and also had an opportunity to speak with members of the coaching staff, including offensive line coach Kyle Flood, who is recruiting Reddish.

"He said they were really, really interested in recruiting me, and I could become great for them," Reddish said. "He said I did well in camp."

In addition to Rutgers, Reddish holds offers from Syracuse, West Virginia, Maryland, Boston College, Penn State, Virginia and Connecticut.

He said he has no leader, and does not plan on making a decision until after his senior season.

"It's equal for all the schools," Reddish said. "I'll be looking at academics, and how the coaches are toward the players."

As a junior, Reddish caught 30 passes for 763 yards and 12 touchdowns, and his speed enabled him to develop into one of New York City's top big-play threats.

Before camping at Rutgers, Reddish made a trip to Penn State and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds.

"It was good," he said. "We had a camp and then we took a little tour of the football facilities. I kind of knew a lot of things about them because any school that offers me, I look into those schools."

Rutgers is the school Reddish knows the best, partly because the Scarlet Knights were the first to offer. And that could be beneficial in the long run.

"That matters to me a lot," Reddish said. "It shows that they were really interested in me, and really looking forward to me in my career."
