"I get a lot of emails from them and I talked to their coaches a couple of times," Amos said. "They're showing me interest, but not as much as some other schools.
"I talk to UConn more than anybody."
Amos is 6-foot, 198 pounds and plays receiver and cornerback for Calvert Hall, but schools are looking at him to play in the secondary.
"Safety or corner," he said. "I like defense more."
Connecticut and West Virginia offered Amos as a safety, and Temple is looking at him as a combo defensive back who can play a variety of places in the secondary.
Although those are the schools to offer, he remains open in the process, and has interest in the Scarlet Knights.
He got a look at the Rutgers campus when he participated in a 7-on-7 event in February, but that was only the beginning of his busy spring and summer.
"That's basically where I got my offers from, from going to the camps," he said. It's been fun going to all these camps. Tiring after a while, but it's still fun."
And from those camps, Amos said he believes he is close to other offers, including ones from South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
