"Add Kansas in there, too," Davis said. "They've been recruiting me hard lately."
Each of the schools offered Davis, but he recently told Scout.com Miami isn't recruiting him very hard lately.
When it comes to make visits, just like Davis told ScarletReport.com last month, the Scarlet Knights are in line to get one.
"I plan on going up there," Davis said. "We haven't set a date, but I think it's going to be after the season. It will be sometime in December or January. I definitely plan on getting up there."
Rutgers is a familiar name at Jefferson High these days. Scarlet Knights freshman linebacker Fred Overstreet played at Jefferson, and Rutgers is also recruiting Jefferson high linebacker Ramik Wilson.
Whether Davis makes any in-season official visits still needs to be decided, but right now he is concentrating on the upcoming season, which begins Friday against Chamberlain High (Tampa).
"I'm ready for the season," Davis said. "We worked out hard and everyone is ready. The goal is to win a state title."
The Dragons lost in the Class 3A state semifinals last season, and Davis finished with 72 catches for 1,296 yards and 19 touchdowns.
