The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Aiken is trying to wiggle in an official visit to Rutgers in October, and which time he could end his recruitment.
"I am trying to get up there for when they play against Army at the (new Meadowlands) stadium," Aiken said. "I want to see what it is like, and I want to see Rutgers and spend more time there."
Rutgers hosts Army on Oct. 16, and since it is a home game for the Scarlet Knights, they are allowed to hosts recruits at it. But there could be a scheduling issue with it, though, since Chaminade Prep is scheduled to play Gulliver Prep at 4 p.m. the day before.
Aiken, who shined at Rutgers camp in June, nearly committed to the Scarlet Knights in the summer and continues to hold them in high regard.
"I'm high on their list and they're high on my list," Aiken said. "Rutgers is definitely at the top. I'm showing them a lot of love."
Aiken is also planning a Sept. 17-19 official visit to Illinois so he can compare schools to Rutgers.
"I'm really set on Rutgers," he said. "I want to get out there and see a little bit more of what other schools have, but I really like Rutgers."
