The only event during the second Live period that Hawk Hill Hardwood will be covering is the Hoop Group End of Summer Classic on July 31st at Albright College.
A number of 2012 and 2013 Hawk targets have received some press from other writers in the Scout network however.
A newer name is that of 2012 center Matthew Willms of Team Detroit. Willms stands right around 6'11, and is being recruited hardest by "Minnesota, UNLV, Long Beach State, Saint Joseph's, and Providence. In an article found here, Scout's Josh Gershon said this about Willms.
"Almost 7-feet tall, Willms gets up and down the floor in a hurry, showing good mobility despite his height. He plays hard and showed a little bit of skill, nailing a left hook shot while also doing well around the basket. The lefty needs to gain strength but there is a lot for a college coach to work with."
Another 2012 recruiting target is Detroit's Jodan Price. Price, who played this week at the Saint Louis Summer Classic, has recently picked up an offer from Minnesota. In an interview with Grant Erickson of GoldenSports.net, which can be read here, Price says that he plans to visit the schools that have offered him up to this point. Saint Joseph's would fit in that category, as the Hawks have offered the 6'7 guard.
2013 Saint Joseph's target Rysheed Jordan has also turned heads with his play over recent days. In an article linked here, Scout's Brian Snow had good things to say about Jordan. He wrote the following.
"Jordan and company got off to an excellent start against Takeover, but couldn't finish things off. He as usual was getting to the rim, and with his size and floor vision controlled the game in stretches. Jordan is very quick baseline-to-baseline, and keeps proving that he is one of the better floor generals in the class."
