9/20 Odds and Ends

Beginning Thursday, St. Joe's will host 2013 DC guard Ahmad Fields for an official visit. The Hawks aren't the only Atlantic 10 school with an important visitor on campus this weekend

It could be argued that St. Joe's is hosting one of their top targets in the class of 2013 over the coming days. 6'5 Massanutten (VA) lefty Ahmad Fields is visiting Hawk Hill from Thursday to Saturday.

Fields' visit to Hawk Hill comes a week after the SJU coaching staff hosted a trio of 2013 targets on campus, in the form of Sam Dingba, Rodney Williams, and Tevon Saddler.

In addition to the four players listed above, the other name that has been circulating for the past several months is 6'7 Curtis (NY) combo forward Hassan Martin. Martin is officially visiting Rhode Island this weekend. In an article by Adam Zagoria this afternoon on Zagsblog.com, it was reported that Martin is likely down to URI, St. Joe's, and Providence. At the moment, he does not appear to have official visits set up for anyone but the Rams.

Sam Dingba, the 6'6 high-motor athlete from Salisbury School (CT), visited SJU last weekend and is expected to visit Saint Bonaventure this weekend.

Tevon Saddler, a 6'4 wing from St. Frances Academy (MD), is visiting UNC-Greensboro officially, a week after visiting Saint Joseph's. Those are the only two officials that Tevon had scheduled as of last week, with schools such as Providence and Missouri still involved.

In addition, Rodney Williams, the 6'7 power forward from Virginia who visited Hawk Hill last week, is reportedly planning to trim his list to five on Monday. That being said, on Thursday evening, he received new interest from Clemson. They are planning to visit him on Monday for a workout.

With so many visits lined up across the A10, and with so many Hawk targets on campus across the A10, it seems that news on the recruiting front could come any day.
