April is here

March is the pinnacle of the college basketball season, with the season culminating next weekend with the Final Four and National Championship game. However, when those nets are cut down next week, college coaches hardly get a break. The April Live Periods are mere weeks away, and today Hawk Hill Hardwood takes a first look at the April calendar.

St. Joe's has up to four or five scholarships to use on the 2014 recruiting class. Therefore, this spring and summer should be extremely busy for the Hawk coaching staff. Langston Galloway, Ron Roberts, Halil Kanacevic, and Daryus Quarles are all set to play their final seasons on Hawk Hill.

The SJU coaches will spend April tracking their top 2014 targets, as well as identifying new prospects.

St. Joe's is looking at a number of guards in 2014. They include, but are not limited to, Shep Garner, Elijah Cain, Rashard Figures, Tre Campbell, and Kaison Randolph.

Then, at the wing, SJU is looking at players such as Jared Nickens and Terry Larrier, as well as Great Valley (PA) rising star Mikal Bridges.

SJU will also need serious help in the front court, and are looking at Ben Bentil, Jacquil Taylor, Martin Geben, Paschal Chukwu, Nana Foulland, and more at the 4 and 5 spots.

Hawk Hill Hardwood will have you covered during April. As events become official and schedules become public, I will provide updates here. As of now, Hawk Hill Hardwood will be covering the Hoop Group Philly Jam Fest on April 27th and April 28th in King of Prussia.

The two live periods in April run from April 19-21 and April 26-28. Hawk Hill Hardwood will be covering the area's best events during both of of those live periods.
