Second live period primer

The second of three July live recruiting periods kicks off today, at 5 o'clock eastern time. Take a look inside to see where many of Saint Joseph's top recruiting targets will be.

There are five main events that span this second live period, when it comes to Saint Joseph's recruiting. The live period runs from 5 o'clock today, Wednesday, through Sunday the 21st.

Close to campus, in King of Prussia, The Hoop Group is hosting two of their main summer tournaments. The Summer Classic East runs today and tomorrow, then the Summer Jam Fest goes from the 19th through the 21st.

A number of the Hawks' top 2014 targets will be playing in the Summer Classic East. The Connecticut Basketball Club, featuring 7'1 top 50 center Paschal Chukwu, will be playing in both Hoop Group events. Sam Dingba's Westchester Hawks will also be participating in both events, as will Kaison Randolph's Move Your Feet. New Heights, with 6'3 combo guard Paul Jorgensen, are in both as well.

The New Jersey Playaz 17s, featuring Elijah Cain and Mike Nzei, will be in King of Prussia on just the 17th and 18th for the Summer Classic East. The same can be said for Obi Romeo, who runs with East Coast Fusion. Romeo, a long, athletic 6'10 center, burst onto the scene in a big way at last week's Reebok camp.

Two 2015 recruits with offers will be playing in King of Prussia as well. 6'3 Salesianum (DE) wing guard Donte DiVincenzo runs with Team Final Black, and they are playing the Summer Classic East on the 17th and 18th. Wing CJ Keyser (Mid-Atlantic Select) will be playing in both Hoop Group camps.

Heading west, the Under Armour Summer Jam in Milwaukee has quite a few Hawk targets as well. In the class of 2014, Markell Lodge (Team Loaded VA), Zane Waterman (Team Loaded NC), Ben Bentil (We R-1), Jarvis Garrett (TP Elite), James Demery (Team Charlotte), Darrell Davis (Reach Legends), and Tarin Smith (Sports U) are seven rising seniors with Hawk offers. All seven are in action out there this week, starting tonight.

Also in Milwaukee, in 16u action, are Philly Pride and We R-1. Samir Doughty, Trey Lowe, Traci Carter, Tyler Kohl, Malik Ellison, James Wright, and Derrick Jones are just a few 2015s on those teams with offers.

The Big Shots All American camp runs on the 18th and 19th in Washington DC. Looking through the roster for this event, 2014 point guard Shavar Newkirk, 2014 wing James Palmer, and 2015 wing Sean Lloyd are just three players participating that hold offers from the Hawks.

Finally, the Hall of Fame National Invitational runs the 19th through the 21st in Springfield, MA. While this event doesn't have quite the volume of Milwaukee or Hoop Group, there are some names of interest. Team Scan, with 2014 point guard and 2014 shooting guard Rashard Figures, will be there. The New England Playaz, Expressions Elite, and Albany City Rocks are three other teams that consistently produce mid to high major talent, and are likely worth keeping an eye on.

The second live period kicks off in just a few hours. With camps in DC, Philadelphia, Massachusetts, and Milwaukee, just to name a few, the Hawk coaching staff will be busy over the coming days.
