"I thought that we had a group effort We tried to balance minutes and see certain guys. What I'm very interested in is making sure the players do a self-evaluation. It's less about them individually then us collectively, so as we go forward, how can they help us. I thought our defense rotations were good. There's plenty to go on but that's why it's August," said Martelli.

The game was the culmination of a busy day for the Hawks, who visited the Vatican for a few hours in the morning. SJU will remain in Rome until Thursday morning when they depart for Florence.

The Hawks' next game will be on Saturday, August 17 in Florence.
