At 6-foot-7, sophomore Jordan Barnett is bound to be a widely-known name on college radars soon.
He leads a talented CBC High School squad with 14.2 points and nearly seven rebounds per game.
Over the holiday break, Barnett had himself quite the coming out party. His No. 8-seeded Cadets' team reached the finals of the Meramec Holiday Classic, and Barnett scored in double figures in all four games to earn All-Tournament recognition.
The highlight game came against the St. Louis area's top team, McCluer, when Barnett dropped a career-high 26 points en route to the upset.
Barnett was in attendance at the Scottrade Center when the Tigers took on Illinois in the Braggin' Rights game, and the Mizzou staff is keeping a very close eye on the athletic 2014 recruit.
"Butler and Mizzou, that's about it," Barnett said. "I heard the Butler coach was in the stands watching me, so I hope I impressed him."
He possesses an advanced offensive skill set, and with his height and athleticism, he's a very difficult matchup for opponents.
Playing for the St. Louis Eagles, Barnett will get his fair share of looks in the April and summer periods of 2012.
