"They want to see him".
Who is they? Apparently the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz have expressed interest in coming up to see Nicholson against the Billikens.
After all, he's one of the top candidates for the Player of the Year in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
"You can't win the battle of 44 (Nicholson's number) and then let their shooters go off on you," Majerus said.
According to Majerus, Nicholson is a physics major with straight A's, and would apparently get Majerus' vote for both Player of the Year and "Athlete of the Year".
All over his office, plays were drawn up and scouting reports were left-and-right.
"We're going to try to give him a couple different looks," Majerus said. "But basically someone's got to man up and try to take him. He's a really smart player, he's an unselfish player."
Majerus takes one game at a time, and he's hoping that tomorrow is the start of another streak that works SLU towards an NCAA Tournament bid.
