After losing out on six-foot-ten big man Toby Hegner, the Saint Louis Billikens are back on the trail looking for a post in the 2013 class.
Chukwuma "Chuck" Ogbodo has been receiving significant interest from SLU. He plays his high school ball at High Point Christian (NC).
"I have only been playing basketball for two years," Ogbodo told BillikenReport.com. "I am six-foot-ten, almost six-foot-eleven. I am great on defense. I can block shots, rebound, and defend.
He's not that experienced, and must work on his offense.
"I have been working hard in the gym on my offensive game," he said. "I shoot 1000 free throws a day and work on my post moves."
Despite playing for Team Loaded, one of the best squads in the country, Ogbodo only holds offers from a number of SoCon schools.
That hasn't stopped him from gaining interest recently from a number of mid and high-major schools.
"I have been hearing from St. Louis, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Virginia, and some other schools," Ogbodo said. "I'm excited for July to play in front of the coaches."
He said he currently has a top three of SLU, Wake, and UNC-Wilmington.
New assistant coach Tanner Bronson has been the main contact from the Billikens, Ogbodo said. He noted that they have created a strong relationship in a short period of time and that he plans to take a visit to the Midwest in July.
Ogbodo is definitely a name to watch for SLU fans in July.
