2013 wing R.J, Curington picked up an offer from Saint Louis coaches recently and spoke with BillikenReport.com about his recruitment.
A talented six-foot-four guard, Curington has played at one of the best high schools in the country -- basketball factory Oak Hill.
In addition, his 17U Team Loaded squad is one of the better AAU teams on the circuit, and recently won the Fab 48 in Las Vegas to end the July Live Period.
Sitting out the end of the period was tough for him, but with a dislocated finger, he figured it would be better to make sure he was healthy for the start of high school basketball.
He's on campus at Western Kentucky today for an unofficial visit, but will be at SLU on Monday to take in the Midtown digs.
Curington says he knows a little bit about the Billikens, but he's looking forward to learning a lot more about the school, staff, and team in general.
So what does Curington bring to the table?
"I'm best at getting to the basket," he said. "I can play hard, play physical, and aggressive. My shooting is key too, but I can work on ball handling a bit more."
Many schools are vying for his services. He currently lists UNC-Wilmington, UAB, Cornell, SLU, Virginia Tech, DePaul, and Nebraska.
He said he still plans to visit all of the schools that are on his list, and a decision likely won't be coming in the near future. He's going to weigh all of his options.
