Bartley Makes The Call for SLU

2014 point guard Marcus Bartley made the call for the Billikens just days after visiting officially.

On Thursday evening, 2014 Marcus Bartley committed to Saint Louis.

"I just got the family feeling from them," he said. "From the players to the coaches, I just felt at home."

The son of Creighton alumni, the wiry 6-foot-4 lead guard chose the Bills over the Bluejays.

The Decatur native recently visited the Billikens and felt like it was time to shut down the process.

"I knew it was the place for me," he said.

At his core, SLU is getting a heady guard that runs a team with efficiency and can score quite well himself. He will need to improve his outside touch, but most importantly, he will have to adjust to the strength of college opponents.

At 140 pounds, Bartley is a bit undersized at the moment despite his above-average height for a guard. Billikens' strength and conditioning coach Eric Schork is sure to have him busy progressing into what could turn out to be quite a player in Midtown.

Bartley is the third commitment of the 2014 class, joining Austin Gillmann and Davell Roby.
