Billikens Lose At BC

The Saint Louis University basketball team's first-ever meeting with Boston College had a familiar outcome as the Billikens lost their fourth consecutive road game of the season.

Boston College's 61-39 victory over Saint Louis on Tuesday night at Silvio O. Conte Forum was similar to the Billikens' earlier road losses at Kent State, Missouri State and Pittsburgh.

Boston College (6-1) led 23-5 midway through the first half and never looked back. Corey Raji led the Eagles with 13 points, and three other teammates finished in double figures in scoring as well.

Saint Louis (6-4) shot just 31 percent in the game. The Billikens were paced by senior forward Luke Meyer and junior guard Tommie Liddell III, who both scored 11 points.

The Billikens begin a four-game homestand on Saturday night when they host Sam Houston State at Scottrade Center. SLU will be happy to return home, where the Billikens have won 11 consecutive games.
