Billikens Lose Again On Road

The Saint Louis University basketball team's struggles on the road continued Saturday after the Billikens' cut a double-digit deficit to two points only to watch Charlotte pull away late.

Charlotte used a late 11-0 run to turn back Saint Louis and hand the Billikens an 81-64 defeat at Halton Arena in Charlotte.

Saint Louis is now 15-12 overall and 6-7 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Billikens have now lost eight of their 10 road games this season, including 2-4 in A-10 games on the road.

Junior guard Tommie Liddell III led SLU with 18 points, six rebounds and three steals. Junior forward Barry Eberhardt scored 10 points off the bench. Senior forward Luke Meyer had nine points, while senior guards Dwayne Polk and Danny Brown each added eight points.

The Billikens are back on the road again on Thursday for a 6 p.m. game at Saint Joseph's that will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
