ST. LOUIS — Saint Louis University sophomore point guard Kwamain Mitchell returned to action after missing a game because of eye surgery and scored a career-high 33 points to lead the Billikens to a 61-54 victory over visiting Missouri-Kansas City on Tuesday night at Chaifetz Arena.

Mitchell scored his 33 points on 11-of-18 shooting. The sophomore guard, who said afterward that he still has some blurred vision in his left eye as a result of Friday's surgery, made nine of his 15 free throw attempts.
