The Saint Louis University basketball team is moving on to the semifinals of the College Basketball Invitational after a 68-62 double-overtime victory against visiting Green Bay on Monday night at Chaifetz Arena.
Sophomore forward Willie Reed led the Billikens with 21 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots — breaking the school single-season record for blocked shots in the process — as Saint Louis overcame an 11-point deficit in the second half.
Sophomore point guard Kwamain Mitchell and freshman forward Cody Ellis each scored 14 points and freshman guard Christian Salecich broke out of a shooting slump to score six of his eight points in the final 23 seconds of the second overtime.
Saint Louis (22-11) advances to host Princeton in the CBI semifinals on Wednesday night at Chaifetz Arena.
