Standing at 6'4, 210lbs, 2014 QB Brad Kaaya led his team (Chaminade, West Hills, CA) to a 12-2 overall record, with a league record of 5-0. That, combined with only throwing 2 interceptions all year, Kaaya now has college coaches all over him.
He lists interest from Oklahoma St., UCLA, Tennessee, Washington, Arizona St., Oregon St. and Boise St, with offers from Miami and San Diego St. When asked if there were any current standouts, "Definitely San Diego St., because they offered me early"
Concerning the San Diego State offer Kaaya likes the idea of being close to home, as well as the high level of academics, "It's a good school, and I like how the average admitted GPA is about 3.8".
A major factor that will play into his college decision is location, as well as choosing a school with an offense than he can strive in.
This offseason Kaaya plans on working a lot under center to further elevate his game in preparation for the next level. Currently his school runs a lot of spread offense and shotgun, and he would like to improve under center, especially with play action.
As for a timetable for Kaaya making his decision, he plans on waiting till after the Spring to evaluate his offers and plan his visits.
