Tucker's recruitment is heating up

2014 Serra defensive end Olajuwon Tucker has his first three offers from Miami, San Diego State and Colorado State

The Serra Cavaliers finished off last season by destroying Oakdale High School, 42-15, in the D2 state championship. They return 10 players that have already have at lease one division 1 scholarship offer.

Defensive end Olajuwon Tucker is the leading tackler returning on the defensive line. The 6'3" 230 pound lineman finished his junior campaign with 68 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 7 passes defended. "We plan on going back to the state title and getting that perfect season," Tucker said about his plans for senior season.

In just over a week, Tucker has picked up offers from Miami, San Diego State and Colorado State. Arizona State, UCLA and Utah have also made their interest clear to Tucker.

"When I talked to them, they told me that they were the first California school to have two guys drafted this year," Tucker said about his most recent conversation with his recruiter Tony White.

Tucker hasn't had the chance to make a visit to the Mesa, but that will soon change. "I'm planning to go there soon," Tucker said.

At his size, Tucker has the ability to play on the defensive line or drop back and play coverage as a linebacker and that's something that he's working on improving on. "I'm a good run stopper, my pass drop and coverage need work," Tucker said.

Tucker admits that he's nowhere near a college decision, but he definitely knows what he's looking for in a college, "I'm not sure, I have a lot of time left. I'm looking for the best place that feels like home and a good environment. All schools are equal right now."
