2014 Recruits: Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

Check out who the Aztecs are targeting at the Wide Receiver and Tight End positions for the 2014 recruiting class

Wide Receiver Targets:

Shay Fields (St. John Bosco HS)- Every receiver the Aztecs have offered for the 2014 recruting class has been at least 6'2". Fields is the lone exception at 5'11". He brings lots of speed out of the slot. The Aztecs have cemented themselves in his recruitment. He should be visiting San Diego State soon.

Jordan Lasley (Gardena Serra HS)- Lasley is one of the many future college players at Serra HS. Current offers are from San Diego State, San Jose State and Colorado State. He's performed very well on the 7-on-7 circuit.

Tyrin Stone-Davis (Los Angeles Pierce JuCo)- Has offers from Illinois, Texas Tech and San Diego State. He seems set on the idea that he will only spend one year at the D1 level before entering the draft.
Tanner Sanders (Crescent Valley HS, OR)- Two offers are from the Aztecs and his hometown Beavers where both of his parents were athletes. Plays quarterback and wide receiver for his high school team.

Dionte Sykes (Chandler HS, AZ)- The Aztecs became the first to offer him, followed by Michigan State last week. The general consensus seems to be that he is waiting for an Arizona State offer and will take it if/when it happens.

Anthony Holmes (Aurora Gateway HS, CO)- The Aztecs offered Holmes this past week, and view him as someone that could play receiver or add some weight and be a very nice tight end target with his athleticism. The Aztecs are in good position, being his first and only offer so far.

Tight End Targets:

Matt Lawler (Ramona HS)- Lawler picked up his first offer, from San Diego State two weeks back and has had some other schools come check him out since. He's got great size at 6'6", but needs to add to his current weight of 220. He definitely is very high on San Diego State but doesn't look like he's close to making a decision.

Dylan Keeney (Granite Bay HS)- Keeney picked up his first two offers last week from Idaho and Wyoming. The Aztecs and several others are expected to stop by soon to watch him. It's looking more and more that the Aztecs will bring in a tight end this season for added depth.
