Sanders getting interest at several positions

Tanner Sanders has 2 offers and lots of interest, but the position he'll play in college is still undecided.

Tanner Sanders goes to high school in Corvallis, his parents were athletes at Oregon State, and he has an offer to play football at Oregon State. That doesn't mean that he's a lock to become a Beaver. "I don't think (my parents) going there will have much impact. It would be cool to carry on the tradition though," Sanders said.

Sanders has offers from San Diego State and Oregon State to go along with interest from Washington, Arizona State, Michigan Harvard, and Duke.

"San Diego State was my first offer, so that means a lot. I could play receiver in that system. I like the coaches; Rocky Long and Osia Lewis have been friends with my dad for a while. San Diego is a great place," Sanders said.

Depending what position he's playing, Sanders has different strong suits for how he best impacts the game. "My size to speed ratio. I have a big frame but I'm still quick with my feet. The fact that I can play multiple positions helps."

Sanders isn't looking to make a decision in the near future, "I'm going to take some visits this spring and take visits after senior year of football and then when I'm 100%, make a decision."

"I'm going to try and get to San Diego this summer and I'm going to Michigan this June for a 2 day camp," Sanders said.

"I'd like to try quarterback if the school lets me, but if I can get on the field earlier easier as a receiver or tight end then I'll do that," Sanders said.

If an offer from Michigan were to present itself, Sanders would have a hard time passing that up. "I've been wanting to go to Michigan since I was 2 years old."

"Academics, playing time, and coaching staff are all important," Sanders said about what he's looking for in a school, "Somewhere I feel comfortable playing the next 4-5 years of my life."
