San Diego State landed their 7th commitment of the 2014 class on Saturday morning when Las Vegas Valley HS defensive end Noble Hall pledged to the Aztecs.
"Well I just wanted to know for sure, and I knew they were the right ftit. I know I committed early, but I just wanted to get it out of the way so I don't need to be stressed out for senior year," Hall said.
Hall had offers from Idaho, Army, and Northern Arizona before committing to the Aztecs. "I was really favoring Idaho, but I was kind of waiting for the SDSU offer," Noble told me.
"I've talked with Coach Horton, he told me it's a good football program and I know that, but he told me he's gonna work me hard so he can get the best of me."
Noble hasn't taken a visit to San Diego State, but he isn't a stranger to the city of San Diego, "I visit there all the time, and I plan to visit this fall," Noble said. "Its good weather, I like the atmosphere, it doesn't get too hot."
"I think I'll just shut down the recruiting process, I think that San Diego State is a good place for me."
Noble recently changed his name from Eric Burrell to Noble Hall.
"Before I was born my father passed away so I wanted to do that to honor him by changing my name to his."
Burrell's team finished 2-7 this past season, but he's bee working hard in the offseason to change that this for this season. "I lift weights almost every and I've been working out with my coaches and all that."
"My pass rushing is really strong right now. I'm gonna get at the quarterback and get in his face and swat the ball down."
Noble has even put some thought to what he'd like to study once he steps onto campus, "Right now I'm into hospitality and tourism, so I want to continue that into college, but maybe I'll even do sports science too."
Noble fits with the Aztecs
