Andre Adams has used his athleticism and defensive prowess to emerge as one of the most coveted big men on the west coast for the 2014 class. This past weekend at the Pangos All American Camp he showed off his defense in several ways that has made him a wanted prospect.

Adams was hoping to take a trip down to San Diego State's campus before the Pangos camp but was unable to find time this trip.

"I wanna visit Cal and SDSU this summer," Adams said. Those are probably the only visits I'll take."

San Diego State has made Adams a priority in terms of big men for the 2014 recruiting class. The Aztecs haven't extended an offer to Adams as of now but one could certainly be there in the near future.

"(Hutson) talks to me, and he always tells me about the program. I know about the program, and the program is real good. They have a lot of great players, a great coach, and a great staff. That's a place that I'm really looking into."

Scout's eleventh best power forward has seen his recruitment take off in the last few months, "I just got the Cal State Northridge offer; I've talked to the UNLV coach, Arizona State's coach, and I took a visit to USC. A lot of schools are coming at me so it's great," Adams told me.

"Defense is my strongest, I can guard multiple positions which helps, I can play ball screens. Defense is definitely a big part of my game," Adams said. "I need to get more aggressive, sometimes I just slack off and end up watching. I think being more aggressive will help me."

Adams hasn't narrowed down his choices for college, but he knows what he's looking for in a school.

"When you go to college, everybody is good. So early playing time is not something that I'm looking for. Back when I was a freshman and played varsity I had to work my way up. I know I'm gonna have to work my way up wherever I go. It's college and everybody's good so you're gonna have to do that anywhere."

"I'll probably make a list of ten after everything this summer and then make a decision after that."
