When an offer from San Diego State came in for 2015 Torrey Pines High School Wide Receiver Jack Bailey two weekends ago, it was something that he had been wanting for a long time.

"7 on 7 went great at SDSU. I had a ton of touchdowns and a ton of catches. It went a lot better than we thought we'd play," Bailey said. "The coaches were telling me that I'm fast, I can jump, and I can attack the ball in the air. They said they're gonna play me at receiver if I go there."

"My style is I can beat the man deep. I run good routes, and I'm quick off the ball."

San Diego State is the first offer for Bailey, but other interest has started to come in. "I've gotten some cards from Brown, emails from Arizona State and Florida, and the Vanderbilt coach told me he's gonna come down to San Diego and check the team out."

"I talked to Coach Sipe on the phone last week. I've emailed the receivers coach back and forth a couple times and I talked to Coach Long that day, obviously he gave me the scholarship."

Bailey just got home this weekend following a week trip with acclaimed quarterback coach George Whitfield on his annual trip across the country with west coast high school prospects. "It went well because we were in the Midwest and not many Midwest coaches come to San Diego. It puts us all on the map and we got a tour of a lot of schools outside of California, which is cool."

"(SDSU) is probably number one right now. I've been a big fan of them since I was five. Basketball, football, and going to basketball games. (I was the ball boy) for the basketball team for five years, I've been on the field for football games. It's humbling that they offered me."

Having just finished up his sophomore year of high school, Bailey isn't looking to make a decision in the near future. "I think I'll decide either beginning of senior year, or the summer right before," Bailey said. "I'm gonna be looking for location and playing time. Finding the system that I like, also the environment around the program."
