The 2015 Superior Athletes trio of Kendall Small, Stephen Thompson, and Jeremy Hemsley all saw their stocks rise during the May Evaluation Period.
Bishop Montgomery Shooting Guard Stephen Thompson has picked up offers from Gonzaga, Northern Arizona, and San Diego State, along with interest from Vanderbilt, Arizona State, Oregon, and Harvard.
"I'm still pretty wide open," Thompson said.
Thompson is coming off of his sophomore season in which he helped the Knights to a 32-2 record, before losing in the Southern California Finals.
Thompson and Kendall Small took an unofficial visit south to San Diego State a few weekends back, "The coaches showed us around, they showed us the locker rooms and the facilities, it was pretty nice."
"I like the campus, the coaches seem pretty nice, and I like the style of play that they play."
The July Evaluation Period opens next weekend, but Thompson has been focused with his high school team. "Right now we haven't been having practicing as a club team. I've been playing with my high school team and working out at my school."
"I want to show coaches that I can score the ball and play offense and defense."
"3 point shooting is the strongest part of my game," Thompson said. "I just need to get bigger and stronger and work on my speed and quickness."
Thompson isn't close to making a decision, but he has a good idea of what he'll be looking for come that time. "Mostly I'm looking for a fast paced tempo and good academics. Location doesn't matter very much," Thompson added. "I haven't really thought much about when I'll decide."
