Desmond Barmore is a force on the offensive line for Hardaway High School, and coaches have taken notice. The left tackle from Georgia has offers from San Diego State, Georgia State, East Carolina, and Jacksonville State along with interest from Southern Mississippi and Appalachian State.

"Georgia State and San Diego State are recruiting me the hardest, but it's pretty even right now," Barmore said.

San Diego State has commitments from twelve players for the 2014 recruiting class, but none for the offensive line.

"The coaches from San Diego State told me they love players from the southeast. They have great weather, and they're on the rise," Barmore told me. "They went to a bowl game but came up short against BYU this past year. I know a lot of people out there and they say once you get to San Diego you won't want to leave."

The 6'7" left tackle is looking to impress schools this season to raise his stock in the recruiting world.

"The strongest part of my game is my pass blocking," Barmore said. "(Offensive Tackle) is a real nice position, you can face somebody that isn't very good and then go to one of the best players in the nation. Some of the best players in the country the past few years have been defensive lineman."

Barmore is still feeling his way through the recruiting process, and checking out as many schools as he can.

"I've taken two unofficial visits so far, to Auburn and Georgia State, and I'm trying to take a unofficial to ECU this summer and camp at Southern Miss."

"I'm looking for good academics, playing time and a good relationship with the coaches," said Barmore. "I wanna wait till signing day to decide, but you never know."
