July Evaluation Period Update

Notes from the second days of the Full Court Press All-West Camp presented by Pangos, and the Double Pump Summer Tip Off

Full Court Press All-West Camp Presented by Pangos

2014 G Ian Fox (Redondo Union HS) was really shooting the ball well at the All-West Camp. Hitting multiple catch and shoot, pull up, and flare three's. By far the best player in the game, and one of the top at the camp. Fox lists offers from Pepperdine and LMU, with interest from Univ. of San Diego, Portland, Santa Clara, Cal-State Northridge, and San Francisco. Has taken unofficials to both Pepperdine and San Diego.

2014 SG Eric Cooper Jr. (LB St. Anthony) looked 10 times better than his performance at Pangos AA Camp a couple weeks ago. Cooper was getting to rim, as well as hitting his jumpers off the catch and shoot. Originally a 2013, Cooper has since re-classed to the 2014 and will attend a Prep school next year.

2017 PG Jamal Hartwell (Fairfax HS) performed well for being one of the few 2017's at the camp. Terrific handles, as well as a solid floater. Listed at only 5'8", but has years to grow. Watch out for Hartwell in the future with the Fairfax HS Lions.

2016 F Ian Miller (Sheldon HS) played at Sheldon HS this past year with SDSU commits Dakari Allen and D'Erryl Williams. Miller is lengthy and already listed at 6'6". Showed post game development with a nice hook over his left shoulder. If he can grow, and continue to develop his post game, he'll certainly get D-1 looks.

Double Pump Summer Tip Off

2014 G Robbie Berwick put on a show in his first game of the day. Dropping 21 points on 7 of 11 from beyond the arc. SDSU coach Steve Fisher was there to watch the entire game. Berwick was hitting one dribble pull up three's, stepback three's, and even one where he went hesitation move to behind the back to pull up for three. By far the best player on his team, but wasn't enough as OC Pride: Moore Management lost to Utah Pump N Run 17u. After his game Berwick picked up offers from UC-Davis and UTEP.

2014 PG Kyron Cartwright (Compton HS) showed off his point guard skills in his first game. Getting his Pump N Run Elite teammates involved early. Coaches from LMU, St. Marys, Washington and Oregon were all there to watch Pump N Run Elite. Cartwright currently lists offers from Cal State Fullerton and LMU, recently taking an unofficial to LMU this past week. Schools showing interest include San Diego State, Cal State Northridge, Long Beach State, Univ of San Diego, and San Francisco.

2015 PG Nick Anderson (Canyon HS) played well in his game with Double Pump 16u. Anderson finished with 6 points and 4 assists in a blow out win over the Bay Area Blue Devils. Great speed and vision make Anderson another top SoCal guard prospect in the 2015 class. The 6'0' point guard would penetrate and kick to open teammates, giving them great looks at open jumpers. Anderson is the younger brother of former UCLA pg Jerime Anderson and current USD pg Chris Anderson. Currently schools showing interest in Anderson include Brown, Pepperdine, San Diego, and Washington State.
