Spartans Add a Kicker
The San Jose State staff thought it had its kicker for this class when former Oregon kicker Mike Bowlin committed in December. But as quick as he popped up, he was gone to Washington State.
Inside Sparta has now confirmed that SJSU has once again filled the need at that position.
"Yes, it's true, I committed to SJSU on Wednesday," Austin Lopez of Trinity High School in Euless, Texas said in an email to IS. "I'm leaving today to visit San Jose State."
The 6-foot-0, 160-pound Lopez is also a star soccer player, but focused on football for the 2011 season with the goal of playing the sport in college, according to his website.
