Photos from the SJSU win over BYU

It what's turning out to be a magical season in the rebuilding of the San Jose State football program, the Spartans announced themselves to the rest of the college football world with a 20-14 win over BYU. The game was national televised on ESPN2. SJSU is now 9-2 on the year.

San Jose State jumped out to an early lead, and were up 20-7 at halftime. The second-half became a defensive battle until late in the 4th when BYU mounted a comeback. However, a crushing hit by Spartan linebacker Keith Smith forced the ball out of Cougar quarterback Riley Nelsen's hands and Vince Buhagiar made the recovery to seal the 20-14 win and put the Spartans at 9-2 on the season. Next Satruday will be the season finale against Louisiana Tech at Spartan Stadium.
