About his game: “I would say that I do a good job of carrying out broken plays and making plays that weren’t always supposed to be the plays that were made,” Aaron told InsideTheSpartans. “I would say that I have a fairly strong arm and I’m very used to throwing on the run.”

Reasons for committing to SJSU: “They had done a really good job staying consistent throughout my whole recruiting,” Aaron said. “Even when I was committed (to Temple) I would talk to them every now and then and they would tell me they were still very interested in me. After I decommitted, I just took a step back in my recruiting and looked at all my options, what I had seen so far, where I’ve been, who I feel comfortable around, the coaching staffs… It seemed like a better fit and was closer to home.”

Coach Caragher’s comments: "Montel is a talented quarterback with a tremendous upside,” Caragher said in a release by San Jose State. “He has an accurate arm, athletic ability and the intangibles needed to succeed at the quarterback position."

Lead recruiter: Andrew Rolin (Assistant - Running Backs)

Final Thought:I’m just glad to be a Spartan,” Aaron said. “I’m glad it worked out in the end. I’m very happy with my decision and so are my friends and family. I can’t wait for this summer to start working.”
