RUSTON, La. — Ayana Walker scored 23 points and pulled down eight rebounds, and Catrina Frierson added 21 points as eighth-ranked Louisiana Tech beat San Jose State 87-47 Saturday.

The Lady Techsters (18-3, 13-0 Western Athletic) shot 52 percent to just 26 percent for San Jose State (11-10, 6-6). Tech led 41-25 at the half and made it a rout over the final 20 minutes.

Tech had 51 rebounds to San Jose's 34. Takeisha Lewis backed Walker with seven boards and Amber Obaze added six. Erica Smith had 11 points, five rebounds and three steals for Tech.

Tatiana Taylor had 14 points and Cricket Williams 13 for the Lady Spartans.
