More Effort, Same Result.

The last-place Spartans fell to 8-20 overall and 3-13 in the conference with it's loss saturday night to Tulsa. Golden Hurricane win 82-72.

The Events Center- San Jose State's loss to Tulsa saturday night came courtesy of a collapse in the final four minutes.

After pulling to within four points of the lead at 74-70 on a basket by Marion Thurmond and a pair of free throws by Brandon Hawkins, Tulsa ran off eight unanswered points, seven by Harrington, to take an 82-70 lead with a minute remaining.

A pair of Spartan turnovers and two steals by the Golden Hurricane kept the Tulsa streak going.

San Jose State took a 39-38 halftime lead on a three-pointer by Moises Alvarez at the buzzer. Thurmond sank seven of his first 10 shots to keep the Spartan offense in gear.

Hawkins led the Spartans with 20 points, Thurmond had 18, and David Granucci led all rebounders with nine for San Jose State. Dante Swanson contributed 13 for Tulsa.

Thank god that the pain is almost over for Spartan fan's this season.
