Jackson scores 24 against Bulldogs

Spartan sophomore forward Amber Jackson led all scorers with 24 points. She also pulled down ten rebounds for another double-double this season. Senior Lamisha Augustine poured in 17 of her own.

Fresno, Calif.---The San Jose State women's basketball team (11-13, 6-7) was defeated by the Fresno State Bulldogs (19-6, 11-2) 77-60 Wednesday, February 22 in Fresno, Calif.

Tierre Wilson hit a three pointer at 2:47 to make it 67-57. The Spartans' junior guard Brittany Imaku answered back with a three-pointer of her own to get San Jose State within seven.

Mirenda Swearengin all but assured the Bulldogs the victory when she immediately hit a three-pointer to make it 70-60 on the next possession. The Bulldogs went on a 7-0 run to finish the game with the 17-point victory.

The Bulldogs had three players in double-figures. Amy Parrish scored 22 and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. Chantella Perera scored 20 and Mirenda Swearengin poured in 14 of her own.

The Spartans started sophomore guard Alisha Hicks for the injured Breana Fields who sat out with a knee injury suffered against New Mexico State.

The Spartans head to Hawai'i to take on the Rainbow Wahine Saturday, February 25 at 9 p.m. PST in their final road contest of the regular season.
