All good things must come to an end, and for the San Jose State ice hockey team, the finale was at the 2006 American Collegiate Hockey Association National Tournament at the ESL Sports Centre in Rochester, N.Y. SJSU fell to Penn State 4-3 on Friday in the final game of the 2005-2006 season.

SJSU opened the tournament with a 4-1 loss to Liberty University. They rebounded the following night with a 3-1 victory over 2005 National Champion Michigan State. The victory avenged a 12-1 blasting SJSU received from MSU in last season's tournament.

For captain Ray Kellam, Adam Dekeyrel, Mason Nave, Chris Lee, Ian Fazzi, and Aaron Scott it was the final time they would don the SJSU uniform.
