Spring Practice, Coaches Clinic, ThunderGate!

The spring football practice schedule begins Friday, March 9th, and concludes Sunday, April 15th. The Spring Game is on Saturday, April 14th. Join other SJSU fans at the spring game Spartan Thunder tailgate from 10am to 1pm, and meet other users from this site! The SJSU coaches' clinic is set for Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17, at the Simpkins Stadium Center next to Spartan Stadium as well!

The SJSU administration has asked us to post the following stories, so that you can all start planning to attend these great events!

There is even going to be a spring game "Thunder Gate" tailgate, so mark your calendars now!

The Spring Game is Saturday, April 14th, at 1:00 p.m. in Spartan Stadium.

Just bring your grilling items and beverages in one small cooler, and we will supply the tables, chairs, tents, and BBQ facilities!

Half of the 15 allotted practices are scheduled prior to Spring Break, which runs from Monday, March 25 through Friday, March 29th.

Thirty-nine letter winners including 13 starters from the 2006 New Mexico Bowl championship team return.

The annual San Jose State University football coaches' clinic is set for Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17, at the Simpkin's Stadium Center next to Spartan Stadium.

Assistant and head coaches from any level of organized football ranging from Pop Warner to the National Football League are invited to participate in the 2007 clinic. Sessions run from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, and 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 17.

Members of Dick Tomey's San Jose State University coaching staff and selected coaches from San Francisco Bay Area teams will serve as speakers and session moderators.

Last year, nearly 100 coaches participated in the clinic and observed San Jose State University spring football practices that ran in conjunction with the clinic.

Cost to participate is $25.00 per coach and covers two days of activities.
