Celebrate the holidays with your family and catch an exciting night of hoops as the Spartans host Long Beach State University at the Events Center smack dab in the middle of the SJSU campus! You will also get to meet Sammy Spartan live in person! In men's action, SJSU won it's first two road games of the season! SJS Hoops is on the rise, and Coach Nessman wants you at the next home game!

It is time to give your support, and recognize all of the hard work and momentum that SJSU lady hoops has been working towards!

On Friday, November 23rd, at 7PM, it is San Jose State Basketball Family Night!

Kids are always welcome, and simply contact the Spartan ticket office and ask them about the Junior Spartans.

Kids can get in for FREE at any SJSU sporting event for the rest of the year as a member.

And did you know that in Sparta mens action, SJSU won it's recent game versus Middle Tennessee State?

They also beat Appalachian State 64-62 and are now 2-0 on the season!

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -Reserve DeShawn Wright made a layup with 5 seconds left to lead San Jose State to a 78-77 victory Thursday over Middle Tennessee.

Middle Tennessee (0-1) had taken a 77-76 lead with 24 seconds left on a 3-pointer by Nigel Johnson.

San Jose (1-0) had led 75-69 with 2:39 left on a basket by Wright, but Johnson made two 3-pointers down the stretch.

Lance Graham led the Spartans with 16 points while C.J. Webster had 15 and Tim Pierce 13. Wright finished with 8.

Reserve Demetrius Green led Middle Tennessee with 17 points and Desmond Yates had 16. Kevin Kanaskie had 11 and Calvin O'Neil and Johnson 10 each.

San Jose led 39-30 at halftime and was ahead most of the second half.

The Spartans hit 62 percent from the field, including 7-of-13 3-pointers. Middle Tennessee shot 45 percent from the field and made 6-of-12 3-pointers.
