Now is the time to gear up promotion of the Olympic Rally and Boise State game.
I spoke with Coach Hill recently.
He said, "I want to tell recruits what we DID to eliminate attendance as an issue, and not what we're GOING to do." It's time to crack through the 15,000 barrier.
Wouldn't it be nice to talk less about attendance and more about the team? Busting through the critical 15k at this game would help make that happen.
You're a part of that effort.
WHAT YOU CAN DO?
BASOC (the Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee), San Jose State and Tager Group are all doing a wide variety of marketing, selling and promotional activities to get the word out.
But it's going to take all of us to reach the goal. And each one of you can help very simply. Just make sure that any organization, group or company you're involved with is aware.
Will your company either organize a group trip to the game or at least communicate details about the Rally and game to their employees? (Because of the Olympic bid connection this is a little different than just promoting the football game.)
How about charitable organizations? They can attend for free! (Not just youth groups.) And friends and family. Let them know!
We've created three different flyers to promote the Rally and game.
Print, use and distribute as appropriate. One is for charitable organizations, one for businesses, and one is for the general public. Help spread the word!!
E mail Chris at the Tager Group, and he will E mail you these flyers. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
In addition, call in to radio sports talk shows, send emails to print publications, get the media talking about it.
Let's pack the stadium and get everyone talking about the team once and for all. Every effort, every additional individual that attends, every group, every company will add up.
Thanks from the Tager Group and SpartanThunder.com!
