Milton had scoring runs of 31 and 71 yards in the second half as the Wolf Pack (3-4, 2-1 Western Athletic Conference) came back from a 17-14 halftime deficit.
Zack Threadgill was 20-of-29 passing for 233 yards and three touchdowns for Nevada. Nate Burleson, the nation's leading receiver, had eight catches for 111 yards and a touchdown.
Maurice Mann had two touchdown catches, including a 13-yarder with 10:35 left in the third quarter that put the Wolf Pack ahead for good.
Scott Rislov was 19-for-29 with one TD pass for San Jose State (4-4, 2-1), but he was intercepted twice in the second half. Keone Kauo returned one of the interceptions 21 yards for a touchdown to put Nevada up 45-24 with 6:27 left.
Lance Martin rushed for 97 yards and Lamar Ferguson 92 for San Jose State. Tuati Wooden had six catches for 88 yards and a touchdown.
