The fans speak out on 21-0 loss to La Tech.

Who calls a QB keeper from your own 10 yard line on 3rd and 19? That is one of the many questions the fans of SJSU were left pondering in the first shutout loss at Spartan Stadium since 1968. Myles Eden was unable to have a repeat performance of his last start at Idaho, and threw two ugly picks and only gained one first down while in the game. It appears that SJSU is without a good quarterback.

The Louisiana Bulldogs ran over SJSU with 217 rushing yards and embarrassed the Spartans with an impressive 21-0 victory at Spartan Stadium.

Daniel Porter had 102 yards rushing against SJSU, while Patrick Johnson added 84 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries. Tech only completed 7- of-16 passes with 97 yards and one touchdown on offense. SJSU's defense was cheered every time they left the field, while the offense was venomly chastized off the field with consistency.

SJSU's offense garnered 148 total yards, and Kyle Reed threw for just 79 yards in the loss. Myles Eden started the game as a "pick-ologist", throwing for a paltry 11 yards on 3-of-8 passing. Eden was intercepted twice, Reed was sacked twice, and SJSU's woes at the helm continue to drag down a good football team.

After a scoreless first quarter the Bulldogs scored twice early in the second quarter, beginning with a 21-yard touchdown run by Johnson and an INT by Terry Carter returned for 50 yards gave Louisiana Tech a 14-0 lead, and they never looked back.

Neither team scored in the third quarter, but the Bulldogs extended their lead to 21-0 in the final quarter with a 35-yard touchdown pass from Jenkins to Dustin Mitchell.

The fans are speaking out on the loss, and feel free to take out your frustrations on the message board on this site along with other fellow SJSU fans. That is why this site exists, so that we can express our opinions freely.

Next week SJSU travels for some Mackay Madness, as they will have their hands full at the surging University of Nevada at Reno.
