Spartans drop to 4th place- Fresno St finale.

SJSU loses 41-17 at Nevada, and the Spartans continue to spiral their season and bowl hopes away. On the bright side, Jarron Gilbert now leads in the SJS history books for losses made while playing on Defense. SJSU now plays rival Fresno State in order to have a chance at a bowl game. The question now is: Can SJSU beat a bad Fresno State team, and slide into the postseason?

(Reno, Nevada) -San Jose State's 41-17 loss at the University of Nevada makes this season look like it is heading down the tubes potentially.

The Spartans (6-4, 4-3 WAC) threw for 301 yards. Reed was 15-of-27 for 215 yards. Sean Flynn came in and tacked on another 86 more yards.

The SJSU Defense gave up big yards to Nevada quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, and running back, Vai Taua, whom each rushed for more than 100 yards.

San Jose State has dropped into a fourth place tie with Hawaii in the conference standings.

The Spartans finally got on the scoreboard with a 44-yard field goal by Jared Strubeck.

The Spartans had minus-23 yards rushing on 16 attempts, as the offense continues to struggle collective as a unit.

Time for the BULLDOGS this Friday, November 21st, at Spartan Stadium.

Game time is 6:30 p.m.
