Kirifi Taula is a 6-foot-4, 285-pound two-way lineman from Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif. He boasts a slew of offers from Pac-10 schools, and the Los Angeles Times is reporting in its May 28 edition that Servite Sports Information Director Bill Knudson recently said San Jose State has jumped into the mix with an offer of their own.
It's still early in the recruiting season but it appears the Spartan staff has an uphill battle on its hands with regards to landing Taula.
"I really want to stay in the Pac-10," Taula recently told Scout.com. "I'd like to stay close to home, maybe in California, but I want to play in the Pac-10."
Taula is planning on attending the Scout.com Combine being held on Saturday at Harbor Junior College in Wilmingont, Calif. Inside Sparta will be there and will have more information, along with a scouting report, if he does attend.
