San Jose State University will introduce Mike MacIntyre, the 2009 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) Assistant Coach of the Year, as its next head coach at a Thursday, December 17, 1:00 p.m. news conference.
The news conference will take place in the Simpkins Stadium Center Gold Room located north of Spartan Stadium. Street address is 1370 S. 7th Street, San Jose, California.
Parking will be available in Lot 1 across the street from the Simpkins Stadium Center.
The 44-year old MacIntyre comes to San Jose State after working the last two seasons as the defensive coordinator at Duke University. He has National Football League experience serving as a defensive secondary coach for the Dallas Cowboys (2003-06) and the New York Jets (2007). MacIntyre worked five seasons at the University of Mississippi (1998-2002) before going to the NFL.
MacIntyre is a 1989 Georgia Tech graduate who has a master's degree from the University of Georgia. He played his college football at Vanderbilt and at Georgia Tech.
