Change of Plans for QB Cody Fajardo

Quarterback Cody Fajardo was reportedly heading to Nebraska this weekend for an official visit. Reports had him canceling that visit and heading the Arizona. Inside Sparta spoke with Fajardo and he clarified his plans, including when he'll make his decision and his list of finalist. One more school has jumped into the mix.

When Inside Sparta last spoke with quarterack Cody Fajardo of Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif., he was planning on visiting Nebraska in the hopes of securing an offer from the Cornhuskers. He had also mentioned waiting until the end of February to make his final decision. Those plans have changed.

"Nope, I'm not tripping anywhere this weekend," Fajardo said by text. "I'll be signing on Signing Day." Fajardo was hoping to secure an offer from a BCS school. That didn't materialize, but one more school did throw their hat into the Fajardo ring.

"Nevada offered, I'm not sure if you new that," he said. "So my final list now will come down to SJSU, UNLV, and Nevada."

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Fajardo did take an official visit to San Jose State on the weekend of Jan. 15. That appears to be the only official visit taken by the Southern California star.
