It's been a long road for Oak Grove star Jabari Carr, but he's back on the West Coast after attending Hargrave Military Academy in Virgnia. During his weekend official visit to San Jose State. the talented receiver gave new head coach Mike MacIntyre his commitment.
"Yep, I'm going to San Jose State," Carr told Inside Sparta. "I just love the new staff and we're going to do great things."
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Carr can also play defense, but said the Spartans are looking at him to stay on the offensive side of the ball.
"They want 8-9 wide receivers to be ready to go," Carr said. "I know in the no-huddle offense everyone is going to need to be in shape."
Carr will enroll at SJSU but won't play right away.
"I will sit out season but I'll be in school," he said.
Carr plans to hold a press conference on Wednesday at his former high school, where he will announce his decision and sign with SJSU.
