It is always assumed that on National Signing Day there will be some surprises, and today is no different. It appears that one Central Coast player will be trading one Spartan uniform for another.
Seaside High School linebacker Tailo Tuuu may soon be moving north.
"Oh yeah, he's been offered by San Jose State and he wants to play there," Seaside head coach Al Avila told Inside Sparta on Wednesday. "He has one class that he needs to finish in order to have his academics on order, but he should have that taken care of by Friday."
Avila is the father of current Spartan wide receiver Michael Avila, who also played for Seaside in his prep days.
Coach Avila said that Tuuu had made an unofficial visit to SJSU earlier this year.
Inside Sparta will follow up with Tuuu in the coming days.
Be sure to attend the Signing Day Event on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 6:00 at the Barrett Ballroom in the Student Union on the campus of San Jose State University. Come meet new head coach Mike MacIntyre as he introduces his first recruiting class. You don't want to miss this! You must RSVP to attend this event.
