With spring practice beginning on Friday, the scramble to replace recently departed offensive coordinator Hugh Freeze, who abruptly departed SJSU after less than two months on the job, may be over. The source said that current special teams coach Tim Landis will take over duties as offensive coordinator. It is yet uncertain whether Landis will remain in charge of the special teams.
