With spring practice beginning on Friday, the scramble to replace recently departed offensive coordinator Hugh Freeze, who abruptly departed SJSU after less than two months on the job, may be over. A source close to the San Jose State athletic department told Inside Sparta that head football coach Mike McIntyre has selected his new offensive coordinator.
The source said that current special teams coach Tim Landis will take over duties as offensive coordinator. It is yet uncertain whether Landis will remain in charge of the special teams.
