In the end Davis is a Pirate

Larry Davis ended his recruitment yesterday by selecting Seton Hall over N.C. State and Indiana. The 6-3 scorer deluxe joins top 100 PG Eugene Harvey and 3 star 6-5 SF Kashif Pratt Bobby Gonzales' first recruiting class as Seton Hall Coach.

Larry Davis ended his recruitment yesterday by selecting Seton Hall over N.C. State and Indiana. The 6-3 SG from Christ The King in Middle Village New York City is a scoring machine. The talented prospect who originally inked with NC State decided to re-open his recruitment after Herb Sendek left to take the Arizona State job.

It seemed that distance from home and his relationship with Pirate commits Eugene Harvey and Kashif Pratt as well other current Pirate players pushed Seton Hall over the top. You also have to give a lot of credit to the coaching staff led by Coach Gonzales with help from Jeff Billet and Dermon Player who coached Davis' AAU team the Metrohawks. Davis is a Blue Chip prospect who was being courted by some of the biggest programs in the country.

Larry brings the ability to score in bunches as well as in the clutch. Davis has been described as having all kinds of talent. He can make mid-range jumpers but has range out to the NBA three-point line. Larry Davis is definitely one of the best players in NYC in his class. He can handle the ball extremely well and can be used as a PG in certain situations.

One month in, Gonzo and the rest of the staff have not only showed the Big East but rest of the Country that Pirates will be a team to be reckoned with on the recruiting trail.
