Recruiting Targets 2007

With 3/4 of Seton Hall's recruiting class over, let's see where the Pirates stand.

Lets start with the commits

Michael Glover 6-6 F from Boys to Men Academy in Chicago. The brother of Anthony Glover is from the same mold. He is a more athletic version of Anthony. Flat out Michael is a warrior who plays with reckless abandon. Glover has improved his rep tremendously over the summer. I expect Glover to be a big contributor when he arrives in South Orange.

Jeremy Hazell 6-3 SG from the Patterson School in North Carolina. Hazell is sleeper was has really picked up his game and reputation over the summer. The word is he is a bigtime lights out shooter and really good athelete as well. With the style that coach Gonzales is going to run Hazell seems like a perfect fit. You can never have enough fire power when you play up-tempo.

Augutine Okosun 6-10 C from Harcum Junior College. This is the player that is the X Factor. Nobody knows much about him other that he is really athletic and really raw. The two things you need to do to get out on the break is rebound and block shots which is hopefully what Okosun will bring to the table. Okosun is playing against St Petes College some time and in October and this will give Pirate fans the first chance to see him. Gonzo sees a lot of talent in this player and look for him to sign in October.

What's left for 2007?

Michael Coburn 6-0 PG from Mt Vernon NY. This is the player that the staff wants most in 2007. He is stocky combo guard who can score in bunches. He was highly ranked early in his career but scouts have not seen the progression from him. He is a Gauco so he is very familiar with the staff which is why we are in such good shape. He is also very tight with 2008 recruits Kevin Jones and Christian Morris. He has been said to be a silent commit for a long time but PT concerns have kept him from committing so far. Will he sign in the Fall and if not will the staff go in a different direction?

Brandon Walters 6-8 PF Lincoln HS NY. Walters is an slim athletic big man who has a lot of developing skills. The issue with him has always been grades. At one time he was close to committing but it seemed like Seton Hall backed off. Now we havethe air we have come back to him. Will we have a ship for him is the question? How does the Mike Davis situation effect him?

Jabari Edwards 6-9 C St Bendicts NJ. The wire thing big man is said to be dramatically improving under the watchful eye of Danny Hurley. It seems like SHU has picked up their intrest of late but what do we make out of it? Is their a ship?
